Welcome to our Bikeology page!

We are a research group located at Brunel University London 🚲

Our purpose: We want more children and adults to cycle short journeys, and we will do what we can to help that happen! Our key targets are to increase:

- Road awareness

- Safe Cycling

- Confidence 😄

This first study we did focused on increasing children’s situational awareness on a project funded by the Road Safety Trust! We created this unique immersive training environment in the LEAP lab in Brunel University London Campus, where Year 6 children came in to cycle on a stationary bike with a 200-degree real-world POV footage taken from a cyclist’s perspective. Their task was to look for hazards and other relevant information (E.g. road-signs).
